Platatac Jaywick Shorts

Platatac Jaywick Shorts

2 September 1943. Under the cover of darkness and disguised as a fishing vessel, the MV Krait snuck out of Exmouth in Australia’s North, bound for Singapore on a daring raid known as Operation JAYWICK.

Operation JAYWICK was a joint UK Special Operations Executive and Royal Australian Navy mission, supported by the Allied Intelligence Bureau (AIB), through its Army support unit – Z Special Unit. AIB – including Z Special Unit – would later become the genesis for Australia’s first special forces units which have developed into what is now Special Operations Command.

The PLATATAC Jaywick Shorts are a full featured, above the knee tactical short. Taking inspiration from our TAC DAX, we have simplified the design to create a slim profile.

Made from tactical 50-50 Nyco Ripstop, or ultra-lightweight Apocalypse fabric, the Jaywick shorts feature a reinforced seat, a range of pockets, and the same dynamic movement and comfort our TAC DAX are famous for.

The Jaywick shorts are suitable for long-duration operations in all-round conditions and will keep you mission-ready and in the fight.
